SOCIAL MOVEMENTS in ACTION,
2002 CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
9am-5pm, Saturday 1 June
UTS Broadway Campus
Building 2, Level 4, Room 22
A first time event: UNSW students from the School of Social
Work + UTS honours and post-grad students from the Humanities
and Social Sciences joined forces to hold a conference on social movements
and social action. Presenters were keen enthusiasts of social action
and social inquiry: they explored practical issues faced by social movements
and activists, and developed theoretical frameworks for understanding
collective action today. Supported by the Research Initiative on International
Activism, the UNSW School of Social Work, UTS Faculty of Humanities
and Social Sciences.
