Thomas Frank speaks on the ideology of the "new economy" and business culture of the 1990s.

Thomas Frank is the author of 'One Market under God: Extreme Capitalism, Market Populism, and the End of Economic Democracy' (2000) and 'The Conquest of Cool: Business Culture, Counterculture, and the Rise of Hip Consumerism' (1997). He is a founding editor of 'The Baffler', a magazine of cultural criticism (thebaffler.com).

The lecture was followed by a discussion panel of Sydney-based consumer and labour activists.
