With all the discussion on the proposed industrial relations changes,
young people have been all but left out of the picture; despite the
fact young people are the future of the Australian workforce. The
Social Inquiry Program at the University of Technology Sydney has
organised an open discussion for young people to discuss the impact of
the proposed Industrial Relations reforms on the future of the
workplace in Australia.

Young people along with representatives from youth services, youth
media and educators will participate in a facilitated discussion with
representatives from government, unions and other relevant bodies about
their future in the Australian workforce. The Roundtable is convened by
staff and graduate students at the Social Inquiry Program, Faculty of
Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Technology Sydney, and is
chaired by James Arvanitakis. If you are interested in attending,
please contact Hamish Madden: 0416 030452, 02 951 2714 or email
